With fewer than 20 days remaining in the 2025 black bear season (it ends Oct. 12), the Minnesota DNR’s large carnivore specialist, Dan Stark, said that the number harvested will likely top out around 2,500 bears for 2025.
“We’re at about 70% of what the total was for last season, and at this point we’re going to end up around 2,500 bears total this year,” Stark wrote to Outdoor News via email.
