Get ready for fall and celebrate the outdoors at Minnesota’s 44th annual Game Fair

The 44th annual Game Fair will be held on the spacious Armstrong Ranch in Ramsey, Minn., rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. August 8, 9, 10 and August 15, 16, 17. (Contributed photos)

Game Fair is an outdoor family event like no other with dog events, doggy parades, shotgun trick shooting shows, informational seminars, birds of prey, hundreds of vendors with the latest gear, trapshooting, delicious fair food and much more!

Now in its 44th year, Game Fair has always been about celebrating the great outdoors, in the great outdoors, with friends and family – of course that also includes dogs of all breeds. Family is precious and time spent outdoors is a gift celebrated at Game Fair with fun events for all members of the family (including dogs) along with hundreds of exhibitors from around the world showcasing the latest and greatest outdoor gear.

Many of the top dog trainers from around the country will host free daily seminars at this year’s Game Fair.

All of this takes place over six days in August on the 80-acres of woods and water on the Armstrong Ranch in Ramsey.

Want to learn how to train your dog better? The top dog trainers from around the country and dog clubs are hosting free daily seminars. These dog trainers are also available throughout the day to answer questions and provide expert advice to dog owners. Lots of doggy treats and dog food exhibitors are on hand as well to provide valuable dog nutrition advice.

Looking to upgrade your outdoor gear? There are hundreds of exhibitors from across the country and as far away as Finland with all the latest gear. This is the place to speak directly with the experts and try it before you buy it.

This is a full participation event and visitors are encouraged to bring their shotgun (cased), their bow (cased), and their dog (leashed). There are events for adults, children, and dogs of all ages and abilities —including twice daily shotgun shooting exhibitions, dog events, archery, birds of prey, and dozens of daily seminars from national outdoors experts.

Did we mention food? There’s plenty of that as well (but no alcohol to keep it family friendly).

If you love the outdoors, if you love dogs, Game Fair is the place to be for all ages.

Chuck and Loral I Delaney started America’s original Game Fair at the Armstrong Ranch in 1982, inspired by a similar event held annually in England. From those humble beginnings, Game Fair has grown each year, attracting millions of visitors.

If you love the outdoors, if you love dogs, then Game Fair is the place to be for all ages. Game Fair is the only place where you can do it all. Highlights of the 2025 Game Fair include:

  • Twice daily Shotgun Exhibition Shooting Show by Travis Mears.
  • Women’s shotgun shooting clinic with trapshooting Hall of Famer Nora Ross & Laura Schara.
  • 13th Annual Ducks Unlimited Duck & Goose Calling Championships.
  • Dog event competitions featuring hundreds of dogs from across the country (including yours!)

The spacious woods and water of Game Fair are open rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. August 8, 9, 10 and August 15, 16, 17. Fridays are Family Days, meaning kids are admitted free with a paying adult.

Game Fair is held in Ramsey at the Armstrong Ranch. Discount tickets and more details on the 44rd annual Game Fair can be found at www.GameFair.com or by calling 763-427-0944.
