Clifton Park, N.Y. — Bass Pro Shops is coming to the Capital District. The new outlet, the company’s fourth in New York, is set to open with its traditional Evening for Conservation on Wednesday, July 30.
Prior to a 6 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony that evening, Country Music singer/songwriter Blaine Holcomb will perform, starting at 5 p.m. Also on hand will be pro bass fishing legends Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin and Kevin VanDam, along with reigning Bassmaster Elite Series angler of the year Chris Johnston.
Keith Beasley, of the TV show Canada in the Rough, PAW Patrol characters and Hall of Fame angler Charlie Evans will also be among the list of outdoor celebrities featured at the grand opening.

The retail store will officially open following the Evening for Conservation ceremonies, then for normal business hours the following day, on July 31, which kicks off a week-long grand opening celebration.
The new 70,000-square foot store will have an Adirondack theme and will feature a 12,000-gallon aquarium housing a variety of freshwater fish species native to New York.
The store is located in a popular shopping district adjacent to Interstate 87.
