Judging from the correspondence I have with sportsmen who are my age, or older, vision is an ongoing issue and one that affects the way we go about things in the outdoors. This is especially the case with firearms and the reason many deer hunters invariably end up with a scope on their hunting rifles, regardless of whether that’s their wish, or not.
Being a mobile Adirondack woodland hunter, the thought of a scope on my lever-action Northern Zone deer rifle is unappealing. Actually, I’ve been there, as at one time – decades ago – I gave it a try.
