New York trappers ready for fur auctions

The hot-spot in the market – as was the case last season – is beaver. (Stock photo)

The fur market of 2024-25 will have ups and downs for pricing and for which species is in demand. This season, there are several species in demand and several at stagnant pricing if any pricing at all.
For some species, if trappers have an offer to buy them you very well may be money ahead selling to that buyer than shopping around. Certain species have virtually no demand.
