Conservation and sporting groups are applauding the Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences (EXPLORE) Act, signed by Congress late in 2024.
The legislation includes the Range Access Act, which the National Shooting Sports Foundation said in a press release was a priority. It requires the Bureau of Land Management to build recreational shooting ranges in each BLM district and National Forest in areas where opportunities don’t already exist.
