The Minnesota DNR told Outdoor News this week that deer permit areas 646, 647, and 648 would be entering a new phase of management due to the high prevalence of CWD across the landscape in those areas.
“In those three permit areas, we have now had enough disease (prevalence) that we’re in the endemic phase,” said Michelle Carstensen, the DNR’s wildlife health group leader.
