Despite unseasonably warm weather throughout much of the season, bear hunters in Michigan reported good success.
“Overall, we had really good hunter success across the state. We heard positive reports about the number of bears at baits. Weather and mast didn’t seem to negatively impact bear activity, and bears are in good condition going into dens,” Cody Norton, the DNR bear specialist, told Michigan Outdoor News. “I think it was a really solid bear season.”
