Another federal duck stamp contest is in the books. After two days of judging, Adam Grimm, of South Dakota, emerged as the winner with a stunning acrylic painting of a pair of spectacled eiders, solidifying his position as one of the world’s leading wildlife artists.
This is the third time Grimm has won the prestigious art competition, one he has entered since 1997. Grimm and his family live in Wallace, South Dakota, a small town nestled in “prairie pothole country.”
