If you’ve been reading the articles in this publication, then you know that our friends at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation are optimistic for a solid deer harvest this fall.
Here in the Northern Zone, where I do most of my hunting, DEC biologists are encouraging hunters not to be overly hesitant when it comes to antlerless deer opportunities. Deer populations, they say, are robust. I consider them experts, trust their insight and I certainly hope they are correct.
