Dean Bortz: Human/wolf safety resolution needs a push in Wisconsin

Bortz writes that Laurie Groskopf, who has worked tirelessly on the wolf issue over the years, reviewed about 90 Wildlife Services reports containing information that would lead any reasonable person to declare a human health and safety threat. (Stock photo)

We have had just a ton of people working on wolf management in Wisconsin since 1986 or 1987, to be sure, but if we ever achieve some kind of common sense management in place – and that DOES NOT include the newest wolf management plan approved by the Natural Resources Board last October – we can thank Laurie Groskopf, of Oneida County.
Groskopf has worked tirelessly on the wolf issue from numerous angles and levels over these ensuing years.
