Bill Thornley: An old hunter has seen it all – and it still looks good
Out in the hills an old hunter checks his treestand as September moves into October. The hunter feels a stir of excitement as he spots a nice buck along the trail. He hopes to spot the buck again in later November during the gun-deer season.
Memories of past hunts flood over him, visions of bucks missed and bucks tagged, of old friends hunted with and those who are no longer around to share the camaraderie found within the hunting shack.
