For the 2024 Minnesota deer-hunting season, the DNR has opted to not increase harvest limits in any deer permit areas as it looks to bolster deer populations in the near future.
“I think this is the first time we haven’t had an increase in a DPA in quite some time. So basically, the moral of the story is that we’re still being pretty conservative,” said Todd Froberg, the DNR’s big-game program coordinator.
