The passing of Bill Conners, 78, of Pleasant Valley, has left a void in New York’s sporting community. Conners passed away suddenly June 17 at his home
Conners, a regular outdoor columnist with the Poughkeepsie Journal, represented the state’s sportsmen and women on many fronts. At the time of his passing, he was serving as the chairman of the state’s Fish and Wildlife Management Board, and also was serving as a statutory member of the Conservation Fund Advisory Board.
