Recently, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that under certain conditions those of us who hunt ducks may be allowed (in 2025) up to three pintails per day versus present regulations allowing one.
Past waterfowl management leaders often took an “err-on-the-side-of-the-resource” approach with respect to waterfowl season length and bag limits. Population reports over decades have shown pintails to be below longterm averages. This looks aggressive to me.
