Fishing with the current governor at Lake Erie on Fish Ohio Day is a longstanding summer tradition for Ohio Division of Wildlife (DOW) personnel, members of the media, and invited guests. At the “walleye capital of the world,” the primary target fish for the day is the abundant walleyes that call our great lake home.
However, Gov. Mike DeWine’s passion for the outdoors led him to institute a second day dedicated to angling in Ohio.
