Members of two Citizen Deer Advisory Councils in neighboring counties went in different directions on antlerless deer quota suggestions from the deer hunters who provided input to the councils.
Vilas County CDAC members ignored overwhelming requests from deer hunters to reduce the counties antlerless quota and tag numbers and raised both numbers for the 2024 seasons. A week later, Oneida County CDAC members heeded the public input and lowered their 2024 recommendations from last year’s levels.
