Wisconsin’s Vilas, Oneida county offer doe tags; Iron, Ashland buck only

When Vilas County DNR Wildlife Biologist Alaina Roth replied to a question and said the Vilas County deer density estimate comes in at 19 deer per square mile of deer range, more than a handful of meeting-goers questioned that number. (Stock photo)

A week later, Oneida County CDAC members heeded the public input and lowered their 2024 recommendations from last year’s levels.
