Will a mild winter mean more toms for Minnesota hunters this spring?

Minnesota turkey hunters are welcoming the recent return of more spring-like weather as the season gets under way next week, on April 17.
The 2023 spring season stands proud with the second-highest harvest total in history. Nate Huck, Minnesota DNR resident game bird specialist, anticipates a potentially stronger season in 2024 thanks to the mild winter.
