Could low water levels impact fish spawning runs in Minnesota this spring?

Springtime and rising (eventually) temperatures signal the onset of spawning seasons for various fish species, a crucial period for most anglers. The mild winter and last summer’s drought have resulted in lower-than-usual water levels this spring. These conditions pose challenges for spawning among game fish such as northern pike, perch, and walleyes.
