Trout stocking is underway in Pennsylvania with countdown to opening day started

I don’t quite remember how we pulled it off, exactly, but I vividly recall more than once getting out of school to help stock Pennsylvania creeks with friends during my high school years.
A local postal worker and baseball coach helped coordinate volunteer stocking efforts ahead of trout season, and there was never a shortage of outdoors-loving student-athletes at Pine Grove Area High School willing to step forward and answer the call.
