Ohio hunters during the just completed 2023-2024 deer hunting season harvested 213,928 whitetails.
Yet, the ODNR Division of Wildlife says the deer herd in the state is as large as its ever been in the state’s documented history. Why the seeming dichotomy? Supply and demand in its simplest terms helps explain the situation.
