I’ve been an NRA member for most of my adult life. A winter home project (spanning a few winters now) of organizing my book and magazine library has resulted in the rediscovery of some older NRA publications like American Hunter and American Rifleman.
A quick glance through some of these from the 1980s and 1990s (and even older) reflects a much different NRA than the organization that has found itself, fairly or not, in AG James’ crosshairs.
