Rediscovering New York’s Southern Zone an enjoyable way to extend the deer season

There was a time when I believed that all the deer in New York were in the Southern Zone. And any time I had the opportunity to hunt there, I would pounce on it. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to have a few places to go, courtesy of a few of my hunting partners, and have even taken a few deer from these spots.
