Just a few miles outside of Athens in southeastern Ohio, a thin ribbon of water meanders through Strouds Run State Park.
The two-mile long Dow Lake is only 153 acres and less than 300 yards wide at its most expansive point. It’s smallish stature, however, makes it easily accessible for almost any point on the lake. For angling prospects, that’s a good thing. It’s nothing that’s going to break any records, but there’s a fair number of fish at Dow Lake to whet the appetite.
