MAY 13: Paddle and “bird” Gallagher Marsh through the Natural Resources Foundation (NRF) tours, supported by Sandhill Wildlife Area, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join Sandhill’s educator, Quinn Brownell, and local bird expert Art Stevenson on Sandhill Wildlife Area’s Gallagher Marsh, a wetland complex composed of sedge meadow and vegetation that provides habitat to a variety of migratory and resident species. Bring a canoe or kayak and PFD along with snacks and lots of water. This trip will be difficult with there being no boat launches in Sandhill. Meet in the Sandhill Outdoor Skills Center.
