Salt Water Preview: Long Island’s multi-fish species smorgasbord

Striped bass may take top-billing in our fishery for the multiple scenarios they can be caught in, but their inshore neighbors consisting of blue fish, porgies, sea bass, and fluke, are often front and center for angling thrills. Pushing further out to the horizon with land drifting just out of sight, sharks and tuna along with mahi in summer months up the ante for anyone fortunate enough to experience one of the best saltwater fisheries on the East Coast.
