Central Region Buckeye Lake (Fairfield, Licking, and Perry counties) – Expect the early spring crappie bite to turn on soon, particularly in the Thornport area. Fish for them six inches deep with 1⁄64- to 1⁄80-ounce jigs suspended under a bobber. Anglers might also try the north shore ramp, Fairfield Beach, or Seller’s Point for saugeyes.
