Lake George: Action has been good for both smallmouths and largemouths, and anglers – especially the local fishing guides – who know how to handle the summer fishing patterns are still finding plenty of lake trout.

Saratoga Lake: Bass fishing has been more challenging of late. Tim at Saratoga Tackle and Archery suggests fishing the weediest of weeds around the drop off at weedbeds into deeper water, to 15 feet and deeper. “Don’t shy away from any structure, don’t be afraid to go where you haven’t before,” he says. Move around and change lures often to make things happen
