Bluegill fishing was best in 10 to 18 of water near sand/gravel areas adjacent to weeds, especially for keepers. Smaller ’gills were found in shallower water around weeds and piers. AMERY AREA Bass, crappies, and sunfish are now bitting along the 8- to 10-foot weedlines on Bear Trap Lake, Sand Lake, and Lake Wapogasset. Bucktails and crankbaits are raising muskies on Wapogasset, Bone Lake, Deer Lake, and the Apple River; the evenings have been most productive.
