Tulpehocken Creek (Berks County) — Conditions Dec. 15 were nearly ideal, and anglers were advised to fish small Pheasant Tails, midges, and other standard patterns. Hatches included blue-winged olives (20-24) and midges (18-28). Blue Marsh Lake (Berks County) — Crappies and bass were hitting jigs in recent weeks. Hay Creek, Scott’s Run Lake (Berks County)

Big Fishing Creek (Clinton County) — Conditions were good as of Dec. 15 and anglers reported nice catches of trout. TCO Fly Shop said most action was on nymphs in the deep, slower water, and urged anglers to avoid targeting spawning fish. Hatches included tiny Blue-Winged Olives (20-22) and Midges (22-26). Marilla Reservoir (McKean County)

Allegheny, Monongahela, Ohio rivers (Allegheny County) — Numbers of walleyes from tiny to 5 pounds, saugers, saugeyes, hybrid striped bass, and flathead catfish were hitting on jigged crankbaits, bucktails and other lures in the deep wintering holes. Raccoon Lake (Butler County) — Although water remained open through early December, fishing was slow in recent weeks. 

Lake Erie tributaries — The “Mile” streams on the east side contained steelhead through mid-December although angler pressure was low. As conditions allowed, shore anglers were catching steelhead at the mouth of Trout and Godfrey runs and Walnut Creek. Pohopoco Creek (Carbon County)  — Nice catches of trout were reported on milder days through early December, although fishing pressure was light. Lehigh River  — The water from Lehighton downriver to Palmerton was yielding nice size trout and a few walleyes near Weissport in early December. Beltzville Lake (Carbon County) — Nice catches of bass
