Southwest Pennsylvania Fishing Report – October 24th, 2014

Allegheny River (Allegheny County) — Walleyes, smallmouth bass, hybrid striped bass, freshwater drum, and catfish were hitting on crankbaits, blade baits and bucktail jigs in recent weeks.

Monongahela River (Greene, Washington counties) — White bass were reported near the lock-and-dam outfalls, and biting shallow-diving crankbaits and small minnows. The Ten Mile Creek and Dunkard Creek tribs were producing walleyes on plastic swimbaits and other artificials and large minnows. Shad were in some tributaries as water temperatures continued to drop.

Loyalhanna Creek, Donegal Lake (Westmoreland County) — Anglers were doing well on recently stocked trout as of Oct. 8.
