Concord, N.H. (AP) – The state of New Hampshire is gearing up
for ice fishing season by offering lessons in it starting next
month.
The state Fish and Game Department’s “Let’s Go Fishing” program
is sponsoring the classes, which are open to the public but have a
limited number of spaces.
The classes all include hands-on instruction about ice fishing
equipment, safety, winter ecology and a field trip. People 16 and
under are encouraged to bring an adult with them.
Among the locations: Lebanon Recreation Department; Greenland
Recreation Department; Amoskeag Fishways, in Manchester; Riley
Brothers Lumber, in Milford; Grantham Recreation Department and
Peterborough Recreation Department.
