James A. Skulan, who lived near Pelland Pit pond, was found by recovery crews Sept. 18. The 39-year-old man was reported missing the night before when a friend went to check on him and found Skulan’s dog sitting on shore and Skulan’s hat floating in the water. Skulan’s tackle box and ATV also were there.

The dead fish were found in the river on the city’s northern edge over a several day span two weeks ago.
