The number of deer I’ve seen so far has been minimal and I’ve yet to see a good buck, but November is almost here, and I’m counting on that to change.

State wildlife officials are expecting a far better harvest this year. But the isolated reappearance of chronic wasting disease has led the DNR to impose mandatory testing in some areas for the opening weekend.
