With warmer weather, the water temperatures have started to increase and the bite has responded. Plenty of nice walleyes have been caught this week.

The bug hatch has slowed and the water is warming, making for a good time to go out. Despite the intermittent rain, plenty of people have hit the water and had success. And check out

Water temperatures rose with the warmer weather and that definitely helped with the bite.

Despite the continued unsettled weather, walleyes are still being caught around the area using various techniques. Minnows are definitely the bait of choice, but some anglers are also finding success with crawlers and leeches.

During May, consider fishing shoreline areas that contain fist-sized rocks, riprap, and larger gravel. That’s probably where you’ll find walleyes.

After a stormy week, Mother Nature finally gave us a weekend with decent weather, which allowed some to get out and enjoy time on the water. Many of the lakes and the Missouri River continue

With the warmer and more stable weather, the walleye bite has gotten a lot better this past week. Many walleyes have already spawned, so keep that in mind for the upcoming week.
