So why fish Mille Lacs for walleyes when you can’t keep any? Here’s why these guys do it – and how they’re doing it.

After the cold front last week, weather conditions stabilized a bit more and walleyes seem to be responding in most areas.

Walleye bite is picking up by the day. Leech and slip-bobber a good bet. And don’t forget the smallies and crappies.

It sounds as if everything picked up with the clouds and wind last weekend and many areas reported a better walleye bite this week than during opening weekend.
