Anglers here reported the first push of coho salmon for the season this week, with most fish caught near the harbors around bait balls in 20 to 40 feet of water.

The best success here was found making long casts to areas of off-color water. Hair jigs and lipless crankbaits were the most productive.

Walleye anglers had the best success jigging plastics and hair jigs.

Walleye fishing here at night was excellent starting Wednesday night and into the weekend.
