The walleye bite has been getting better as the weather improves.

A lot to be excited for as we slide towards targeting walleyes.

Plenty of people hit the water and had decent success despite the cooler water temperatures. Jigs and minnows or plastics still remain the most common presentation.

Despite some challenging weather and conditions, walleyes are still being caught – here’s where.

More bipolar weather this past week, but it didn’t seem to make any drastic changes to fish behavior. Finding some consistencies but also some slight adjustments. The crappies are increasing their appetites a little, though.

The walleye bite has improved from last week, whether on the Missouri River or on area lakes. Jigs and minnows or plastics have been the main presentation.

Don’t settle and be willing to move and cover water if needed.
