Fargo, N.D. Pollution control officials said last week they’re monitoring storm-water discharges in an effort to find out why more than 1,000 fish died in the Red River near Fargo.
The dead fish were found in the river on the city’s northern edge over a several day span two weeks ago. Investigators suspect that the fish suffocated when oxygen levels in the river dropped suddenly.
