There are a few rules when fishing a jig that can make it nearly magic.
Follow a handful of simple guidelines, don’t overthink things, and walleyes will come to the net more consistently.
A tube may be the most versatile choice in your tackle kit.
For crappies, once in the bay or canal, fan-cast the area with extra-long casts until you make contact with the fish.
Even though the spawn has basically been over for a couple weeks, look for walleyes in shallow depths of 6-12 feet especially if there is wind affecting shallow structures.
