With the windy and cold conditions, getting out on Lake Ontario has been tricky. But when angles can get out, they are getting brown trout trolling with planer boards and stickbaits.
A number of different species still being caught at fisheries across the state.
On the doorstep of trout season, some anglers have been catching lots of crappies, mostly on live minnows under floats.
