Current ice conditions and what to expect for a bite when traveling to Devils Lake.

Among the top destinations for ice anglers this winter is Devils Lake, where anglers reportedly will encounter average walleye numbers.

A look at the current ice conditions as we move through the middle of December. Northern basin lakes are seeing 5 to 10 inches of ice, Grahams Island/Zeibach area 5 inches and Creel Bay 8

Fishing populations are looking good on a number of species fronts – particularly on these fisheries.

What anglers could see this hard-water season on the two premier fisheries in the state.

Things are starting to lock up in and around the area, with a few anglers venturing out on the Northern Basin lakes.
