In general, the region’s trout streams were in need of rain as of late last week, and some cooler nights would help, too. Beaverkill/Willowemoc Clear, very low, with early-morning water temps in the mid-60s. Probably
St. Lawrence River Smallmouth action was generally good throughout the river, with 25-30 feet a good starting depth. Crayfish patterns, plastics and drop-shot rigs should produce fish. Pike were deeper, given the warm water temps.
