Bass are on the bite at fisheries across the state.

The new state record smallmouth bass was recently caught here.

Camping, fishing highlight mid-summer activities.

The walleye bite is picking up as the summer pattern sets up on Lake Erie.

It’s been an excellent trout season for many anglers, especially those hitting the back-country ponds.

Bass season officially opens June 15, summer arrives.

Typical more summer-like weather is setting in, including steady southwest to west breezes perfect for attracting even more fish to Orleans County/Lake Ontario waters off the Oak.

In and around Lake Erie, the nighttime walleye bite is still going strong along the popular shallow shoals from Buffalo to west of Dunkirk.

It’s been a good trout season across much of New York, with both stream and pond anglers reporting solid catches and out on the deep-water.
