It’s that time of year in a number of fisheries across the state – tiger muskie time.
Lake Erie anglers enjoyed favorable lake conditions and excellent walleye action over the past week.
Fall arrives and brings in hunting seasons, but good fishing remains. A look at the New York fishing and hunting report from across the state on Sept. 26, 2024.
Walleye seem to be biting in 20 to 40 feet of water on this fishery, trolling or jigging.
A few fish are crashing around, like at the Bridges, especially in the low light.
Tthe timing is right for king salmon and brown trout to start showing off the piers at harbor mouths here.
