Fishing has been good all over Indiana waters on Lake Michigan.

On inland lakes, early spring patterns are developing, with bass and panfish moving shallow on warm afternoons and walleye/pike thinking about spawning.

Action has been red hot at Portage Lakefront Park and hit or miss elsewhere on Lake Michigan.

On Lake Michigan, early reports are that the best action is at Gary Light, with a few coho and browns caught by boats slowly trolling or casting.

On Lake Michigan, when weather and ice conditions allow, some early coho and brown trout will be hanging around the hot water discharges, particularly at Gary Light.

On Lake Michigan, some decent catches of perch have been reported on minnows when the fish are cooperating.

On Lake Michigan, angler effort has been low, with fall/winter perch patterns not yet established, and the staging salmon mostly going up the creeks.
