Walleye Where: Walleye fishing has been excellent at the Gravel Pit west of West Sister Island, off Magee Marsh, near the northern and eastern cans of the Camp Perry firing range as well as around
Buckeye Lake (2847 acres; Fairfield, Licking, and Perry counties) – Largemouth bass: Use crankbaits, tubes, and creature baits around Clouse Cove and Cranberry Marsh; also fish any riprap or woody cover. Hybrid striped bass: Try
Scioto River (Hardin County) – Channel catfish: have been biting on nightcrawlers. Access the river at the bridge at County Road 245. Upper Sandusky Reservoir #2 (118 acres; Wyandot County) – Largemouth bass: Nice catches
Lake St. Clair The muskie opener was very good on Lake St. Clair with lots of big fish being caught. Perch fishing has been pretty good at Metro Beach near South River Road. Bass fishing
Saginaw Bay Area Walleye fishing has been hot on Lake Huron’s Saginaw Bay. Anglers trolling stickbaits in 5 to 7 feet of water report a good bite. Farther out in the bay anglers are trolling
Pickford Area Walleye fishing has been fantastic in Munuscong and Raber bays. The best action has come to anglers fishing jigs and crawlers and crankbaits in the shallows. A few perch have been caught, but
