A look at the statewide fishing report from across Iowa for June 22, 2023.

Anglers caught a nice mixed bag of steelhead, coho, and lake trout on this fishery.

The weather remains hot and the bite hasn’t cooled. Plenty of walleyes are being caught in area lakes, as well as the Missouri River. Presentations have changed, but that’s it.

Various techniques are catching walleyes. Crawler harnesses are working very well.

Some of the alewives here were reportedly jumbo-sized.

Anglers have continued to catch Chinook salmon, Coho salmon, rainbow trout and lake trout in Manitowoc County on northern Lake Michigan.
