Green Bay/Appleton Area

Walleyes are being caught at the De Pere dam on jigs and crankbaits. Anglers also were still pursuing muskies, with a 50-incher recently released on the Fox River. Perch are still hitting, but most everyone

L’Anse Area A few steelhead are still being caught in Lake Superior’s Keweenaw Bay with the best action coming to anglers fishing off the rivermouths. Walleye fishing has been pretty good in the bay. Indian

Grayling Area Perch fishing has been good on Lake Margrethe. Anglers fishing minnows in 18 feet of water report an excellent bite. Bowhunters enjoyed a good early season and saw lots of bucks. Skip’s Sport

Monroe County – Anglers fishing near the railroad bridge in Clarington have reported the sauger bite starting to pick up. Try casting and jigging twister tails tipped with minnows or wax worms. Greenup Dam (Scioto

Traverse City Area Steelhead are hitting in the Boardman and Elk rivers. Salmon have quit spawning, so the steelies have turned to eating more bugs than spawn. A few whitefish have been caught in Grand

Marquette Area Whitefish and lake trout are being caught by anglers fishing off the piers in Lake Superior’s Marquette Harbor. Over at Munising, anglers are catching splake near the river mouths. Bowhunters enjoyed good success.
