I have loved spring turkey hunting ever since I started with my dad in upstate New York in 1975. It was all pretty new back then and we learned it together.

Over a 45-year hunting career, I’ve had many memorable encounters with wildlife. Sometimes those encounters were with the particular species of game I was hunting at the time, but more often, they were not.
Of course, it helps that when hunting, we are often camouflaged, stationary and in general trying to keep a low profile. Being “unobserved” by the local wildlife often results in some notable experiences.
